Not a good move IMO. (I'm not saying this book is, though.)Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03967837585961009598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30771807.post-61058018147729170802017-06-29T04:45:15.281+08:002017-06-29T04:45:15.281+08:00I've noticed several books I've read in th...I've noticed several books I've read in the last year seem to add twists that feel manipulative. It does sound like it could make for a good discussion, though.jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30771807.post-90000913193111544922017-06-28T08:16:53.725+08:002017-06-28T08:16:53.725+08:00Lark - I admit it has a great premise. Hope you'll enjoy it more than me when you get to it. :) Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03967837585961009598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30771807.post-59281495590997634702017-06-28T08:15:25.995+08:002017-06-28T08:15:25.995+08:00Iliana - I appreciate the twists but I couldn'...Iliana - I appreciate the twists but I couldn't help but to feel a little... manipulated. Oh well. Still, it was a very intriguing psychological thriller. I'm with you about having a character to root for in a series. I couldn't imagine reading an unlikeable character continously in a series, lol. So maybe I'll give it a try. :)Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30771807.post-61548546340307580082017-06-28T05:11:14.138+08:002017-06-28T05:11:14.138+08:00Well now I'm curious about what happens! I'm ok reading standalone books with characters I don't necessary care for but in a series I definitely need a character I can root for.
