Booking Through Thursday
- Does what you read vary by the season? For instance, Do you read different kinds of books in the summer than the winter?
- If so, do you break it down by genre, length of book, holiday, or...?
Don't forget to leave a link to your actual response in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!
- Boy, don't I wish we have 4 seasons over here! And nope, even though if we do have them, it won't interfere with my choosing of books because I tend to read based on my mood. Heck, I don't even know what I will be reading next. LOL!
- My answer is as above.
Sorry, I know my answers are boring! :P
Melody - I wish you have the 4 seasons over there too. You would love the fall (the leaves are very beautiful around that times) and spring. And you and I are so alike in our answers...well atlease today. I too depend on my moods for books :)
Happy BTT ! And as always thanks for visiting my blog :)
Hey Julia, I like autumn! I think it's the best season among all.
Happy BTT to you too! :)
I'll happily send you our winter in exchange for a longer summer! I'm with you on the seasonal reading thing.
My answer is here.
You are like me and have no idea what is next on your list! I have started doing some reading challenges to try and get through some of my TBR pile which is helping a little.
See my blog for my response.
I really can't quite imagine life without four seasons. But I totally agree with you about just picking what happens to strike your fancy at the moment.
Hello Mel! Not one bit boring, ya know. And the part on not knowing what to read next is already very interesting. I wish I knew what I'll be reading next too. Gosh... this mood thing. LOL.
I seem to have obliterated my usual random book-reading by joining WAY too many challenges!
The mood thing - oh yeah.
melanie
I read according to the "seasons of my life". It's the reading that's important, and it's never boring to hear what and why people read what they do.
Wow, I guess I'm weird. I'm very sentimental about my reading!
Hi, Mel! How are you doing these days? Q: where do you live? You don't have seasons? Is that in Calif?
My answers: I don't usually do seasonal reading. Sometimes I THINK I might want to read a summer romance, but then I start the book, get disgusted and quit and move on to a favorite author.
Another question for you: have you read the book that inspired the movie "Out of Africa" by Isak Denison (sp)?
Hi Marianne, how I wish we could switch the weather...even for a while! LOL.
Hi Rhinoa, yeah it's all about moods. LOL.
Hi Debi, our weather sure is boring! Hmph! LOL.
Hi Alice, thanks! Totally agree with you! :)
Hi Melanie, oh yes, moods again! LOL.
Hi Ebony, yes I agree it's all about reading, after all that's the most important thing isn't it. :P
Hi Chris, you are not weird at all. To each his own! ;)
Hi Kathy, I'm good, thanks for asking! Nope, I'm not even living in the US. Have you heard of a little country call Singapore? LOL. I'm living there! And nope, the season here is always summer, that explains why I'm bored with it. And nope, I haven't read "Out of Africa" by Isak Denison, it sounds interesting, what is it about? :)
Your answers are never boring, Melody. With all the seasonal readers I know, I was beginning to think I was the odd person out, but I'm finding out through this meme that that isn't quite true. :-)
Thanks, Literary Feline! I'm wondering how should I call your real name? Since we are friends now. ;)
And yeah, I too noticed most readers read no matter whatever the season is...which I find that a good thing! Happy BTT!
You can call me by my real name (Wendy) if you'd prefer. :-) I'll answer to both. Although, I wonder how I would react if someone called me Literary Feline in person? Haha
Hi Wendy! *Let's resume to our first introduction* Nice to have you as a friend! ;)
Thank you, Melody! I am glad to have you as a friend too. :-)
:o)
I wouldn't mind shortening the winter where I'm at. I do agree that 4 seasons are good for the soul.
Happy reading.
Oh Wendy... finally I know what your real name is. LOL. Very pleased to know you, Wendy.
