  1. Do you cheat and peek ahead at the end of your books? Or do you resolutely read in sequence, as the author intended?
  2. And, if you don’t peek, do you ever feel tempted?!

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves.

  1. Nope, I don't cheat or peek ahead. It'd be a great spoiler if I do so. However, I do have the tendency of reading the author's introduction, acknowledgements, etc before I begin to read the first chapter.
  2. Of course I do, but I manage to resist the temptation. I want to enjoy the story from the beginning till the end; it won't be fun if I know the ending beforehand. Reading is all about pleasure and getting to know the characters and plot through the pages, it's not about seeking an answer at the ending in my opinion, although we will get to know once we get to the last page, hehe.

Me too Melody, I'm not end reader. It'll take away the excitment and enjoyment of the book :)

Happy Booking Through Thursday! Hi Alice *waving* *grin*

  5. As a kid, I didn't read endings because children's books end well. I feel differently now... you can see how differently.

    Happy BTT.

Our answers area almost identical. Living with a family of people who do skip to the end it's nice to meet people who don't.

I cheat occassionally I have to admit. I also always read the introduction, acknowledements etc before reading the book.

  8. I'm not a peeker either, Melody. Well said, I agree about it all being about the pleasure of developing the plot and characters. Skipping ahead and reading the end would just totally ruin that for me :)

    Happy Reading!!!

  9. Stephanie Says:

I just can't peek! Even when I was little, I would never peek. It just ruined the experience for me!

    Happy Booking TT!

I agree with you, too! I just don't want to spoil the ending, especially if there will be a twist or two along the way! Diane

    Hi,

I'm turning into a spoiler hoe because I jsut can't help myself...but for me, the story doesn't suffer any if I know what's going to happen, I thought it would but so far, nope...it's all good for me.

  12. Good answer (although sometimes I admit I can't wait to find out the resolution of a book).

  13. Darla Says:

I don't peek, either. I really don't want to know what's going to happen ahead of time.

Peeker here and proud of it;)
