Melody

As the year comes to a close, I took a look back at the books I read and remember those reading moments which evoked various emotions in me. I loved that you also included your favorite cover! I haven't read any of the books on your favorites list but can't wait to read some of them. In particular the Ruth Ware book. My mystery book group is reading that one in a couple of months. Yay. Happy New Year, Melody!

I always end up reading more female authors, too. :) I loved Uprooted. (Thanks again!) And I can't wait to read several other books on your list. Here's to good books and even better blogging friends!! And here's to 2017!

  3. Ooh, I read four of your choices and have three more on my wishlist. I enjoyed the ones we have in common too ☺

It's fun to look back and see what genres and authors gave us pleasure....

You have several on your list that I enjoyed as well! I liked both of Clare Mackintosh's books, love Sarah J. Maas' series, and loved Uprooted by Novik as well. Still haven't read Tana French's latest, but I am looking forward to it. Happy New Year, Melody!

(I know I am behind in replying, but will get a letter off to you soon!)

Happy 2017 Melody. I enjoyed some of those also. Adding Daisey in Chains to my list for this year. Glad to have found your blog, you are one of my trusted bloggers.

  6. Our stats are very close in terms of number of books read and male to female ratio. :-) The Sun is Also a Star is one of my favorites of 2016 as well. And I'm so glad to see A Man Called Ove on your list.

It sounds like you had a good reading year overall, Melody! I hope you have a wonderful New Year.

Rita - I'm glad we share some reading taste, Rita. It's always wonderful to find another reader who shares the same interest. :) I'd had fun doing this list, but oh it was also a difficult one making the list.

Marce - Happy 2017 to you, too! And thank you so much for your kind comment. I enjoy reading your blog and I'm glad to have found your blog as well. :)

Wendy - I tend to read more female authors as compared to male authors. I suppose it's the genres they write; and I think that's because female authors cover a more wider genre, come to think of it. :)

Here's to another great reading year in 2017! I hope you've a wonderful New Year too, Wendy.
