Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. This month's Mailbox Monday is hosted by Mari Reads.

I know my post is up early (it's Sunday afternoon here as of writing this) but here's what I received last week (purchased from The Book Depository):

1) What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen

2) Wild (aka Illusions) by Aprilynn Pike

What books came into your house last week?

The annual Great Singapore Sale is here again and this year it runs from 27 May to 24 July; and this is where most shopping malls from all locations come together to offer consumers their best promotions and discounts. However, this not only applies to Singaporeans but also the tourists around the world get to enjoy the special privileges as well simply by flashing their passports to the respective shopping malls service counter or the Singapore Visitors Centre.

Anyway, I bought two pairs of shoes and a black sleeveless blouse during the spree yesterday. Of course my spree wouldn't go complete without books so here's what I bought:

1) The Hypnotist by Lars Kepler

2) What Comes After by Steve Watkins

So did you buy any books lately? Do share if you do! Well I hope everyone has a great week ahead!

I didn't realize I have overspent this month until I received my bank statement. Yikes!!! So I have been doing a lot of online shopping for the past few weeks... And although I would still prefer the 'traditional' style of shopping - browsing the stores, seeing and touching the stuff before I buy, I do find pleasure in shopping online because it is all so convenient (especially when it comes to books that I couldn't find at bookstores; and the online bookstore which I shop frequently usually have their stocks). All I need to do is just a click of the buttons and the items will be delivered to me. How convenient, but I have also forgotten how this convenience will make a drastic effect on my bank account, haha.

Anyway, back to the issue on online shopping. So what did I buy recently? I bought this handmade basket tote which comes with a matching eyeglass pouch and don't you have to agree it is sweet?! I fell in love the moment I set my eyes on it, so of course I have to have it! Moreover, I am obsessed with bags the way some others are obsessed with clothing or shoes. ;-P

And there of course, I bought books! I have been adding a lot of books to my wishlist after reading all the great reviews (Thank you, my dear blogger friends!), so naturally I have to add them to my TBR pile (Maybe next I need to buy a bookshelf since I have already run out of space and my poor books have to find their place in our storeroom!).

Here is a list of books I bought:

... and finally, a subscription to Romantic Times BOOKreviews magazines which I received my first copy yesterday. I have not browsed all but I had a great time reading a few articles. There is one column that grabbed my attention about whether or not should the authors stop the series, and how long is too long for a series to continue? I find it interesting to read the authors and the readers' point of view. The magazine also features the upcoming releases which I find it informative (so that I won't miss them when they are out!) and a few authors' interviews as well. I am definitely looking forward to reading it when I get home from work today.

So did you buy anything lately? :-)
