Melody

Today is the last day for BBAW and the topic for today is:

Setting Goals! Write in 50 words or less…what do you like best about your blog right now and where would you like your blog to be a year from now?

I have to keep this short and sweet. I started this blog because I love reading and talking about books with all booklovers around the world. Finding good friends through this wonderful community is another great bonus to me! These are my goals and they will always remain the same. (50 words)

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone (no matter if you are old friends or new readers) for visiting and commenting on my blog! I really appreciate them all.

Last but not the least, a BIG Thank You goes to Amy and the BBAW team for all their hard work and efforts for putting this event together and making it a huge success! Without BBAW, I would not have the chance to find so many great bookblogs out there (and making new friends)! Thanks, everyone!

absolutely...our goals are the same Melody. I just want to enjoy what I do without the added preasure of what I want out of my blog.

    Thank you for being you.

I didn't do the goal thing today. Probably because I have no idea what my goals are. I'm still flying by the seat of my pants. I know I would love to leave blogger and go somewhere else, but it seems like alot of trouble! I agree with what you said. Building and maintaining relationships is what we do!

  4. Trish Says:

You're goals are much the same as mine--just enjoy. Meet great people and find great books. And I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! :)

  5. Ceri Says:

That's a really nice answer, Mel. :) It's been interesting watching BBAW from the sidelines this year. So many great posts and blogs. It's really glad to know you still enjoy blogging as much as you do. :-D

Love your goals! It's the community and talking about books that mean the most to me. And I'm echoing your thanks to Amy

  7. Great goals. And you kept it right at 50 words--I'm impressed!

  8. Jennifer Says:

Well said! I agree and my answers would be rather similar.

  9. I made a lot of friends via book blogging.

BBAW: Do I drop from the sky or touch it?

Continuing to enjoy book blogging is a wonderful goal. I should edit my post and add it in!

Wonderful goals, Melody. I know what you mean about finding good friends. I'm still not giving up hope of one day getting together IRL with my bookish friends :)

  13. Nymeth Says:

We have the exact same goals. Happy BBAW, Melody, and thank you for being such a great friend!

  14. Julia Says:

Me too, same goal! And I know you will reach this goal for many years :) And thanks for being one of my great friend for over the years :)

  15. Alice Teh Says:

Hi Melody! I share the same goals too. I started my blog without a specific topic but then I thought hey since I love reading why don't I talk about books? That's how I met with you and so many other wonderful book bloggers. And now BBAW has introduced me to a few new-to-me bloggers like Sandy, Beth, Jackie! I really think it's great!

  16. softdrink Says:

The perfect goal! I love this community.

  17. Very well said, Melody! I am so glad to be a part of this community and to have met you. I look forward to many more years of friendship and talk about books.

I felt the strain of coming up with a constant steam of fresh bookish topics about two years after I started blogging. Sometimes a daily post just calls for too much of my brain juice. But I realize as long as I blog about my thoughts on readings, quality is always preferred over quantity. :)

I am just grateful to be part of this awesome community. I haven't seen any community more unified than this one.

Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for your kind words! I apologize for replying this to all as I am trying very hard to catch up on blog reading, commenting etc. I didn't do much reading over the weekend either, so I'm hoping I'd be able to catch up on everything this week!! :P

I hope everyone has a great week ahead! :)
