Booking Through ThursdayCheck Spelling

Suggested by Barbara H.:
A comment on someone else’s BTT question this week inspired this question:

Do you read any author’s blogs? If so, are you looking for information on their next project? On the author personally? Something else?

Yes, I do read authors' blogs - be it my favourite authors or new-to-me authors. Most of the times, I want to find out information about their latest releases or if they are working on any new projects at the moment. Besides these, I also enjoy reading a scoope of their life and their opinions on any other things. Generally, I read them as I read other blogs.

Below is a list of authors I googled that have their own blogs (Please let me know if you came across any authors who have their blogs so I can add them onto my sidebar. Thanks!).

Amanda Stevens, Amulya Malladi, Ann Aguirre, Anne Stuart, Clea Simon, Colleen Gleason, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Crusie, Karen E. Olson, Khaled Hosseini, Laurell K Hamilton, Linda Olsson, Lisa Unger, Lora Leigh, Matthew Reilly, Nalini Singh, Neil Gaiman, PC Cast, Shannon Hale, Tess Gerritsen

How about you? Do you read authors' blogs?

I'm impressed with your list. Here's my answer:

  2. Ana S. Says:

I have 5 on my read: Neil Gaiman's, John Green's, Shannon Hale's, Nick Hornby's and Martin Millar's. The first two are my favourites. Fortunately, they're also the ones who post most often :P

  3. Sandy Nawrot Says:

I don't read author blogs as much as I probably should. I do have a few of my favorites that I follow.

  4. Debi Says:

I don't really read any authors blogs, at least not on a regular basis. :(
I really wish there more time in a day, because I know I would really enjoy following many.

  5. Beth F Says:

I don't read author's blogs or visit their websites on a regular basis, but I do check them out once in a while.

Like Debi said, there's only so much time in a day.

  6. Yvonne Says:

I should really check out more author blogs. I don't really have any regulars that I go to. You have a nice list of author blogs.

  7. Jeane Says:

Nick Hornby has a blog, and I think Clare Bell does, too. Those are the only ones I can think of, from all the authors I've read- because I usually don't go searching for author blogs.

  8. Anonymous Says:

I am going to have to start reading more author's blogs. I enjoyed reading your post. Happy BTT!

  9. Anonymous Says:

I forgot to include my list!!

I agree with your thoughts on reading author's blogs. I am not familiar with any of the ones you listed, but I included a list on the ones I read on my blog.

  11. Robin M Says:

Great list, will be checking them out. I love Lora Leigh. I enjoy reading authors blogs - they are so interesting.

  12. Anonymous Says:

This week’s question unearths the truth that I do not have many favorite authors. Most of the authors whose works I continue to re-read and explore are dead. I have favorite books. The books have to speak for themselves.

  13. Andrea Says:

I am going to add Jennifer Crusie to my list

  14. Alice Says:

Nice list, Melody! I only read Karen E. Olson, Neil Gaiman, Stephenie Meyer, Colleen Gleason, and Anne Stuart's blogs. Am not a regular reader, though...

  15. Melody Says:

    Sally - Thanks! :)

Nymeth - Thanks for the list! I'll have to check them out!

Sandy - I don't follow them on a daily basis either. Usually, I'll pop over if I've some time to spare.

Debi - Me too! I try my best to read as many as possible, if not I'll leave it to the other day.

Beth - I share the same sentiments.

Yvonne - I don't visit them regularly, but I do visit a few of my favourite ones. :)

Jeane - Thanks! Will have to check them out too! :)

  16. Melody Says:

    Charli, Gautami - Thanks! :)

Bluestocking - It's never too late to amend. :)

Barbara - Great! I'll have to check out your post. :)

Robin - Lora Leigh is one of my favourite authors. She writes great romance suspense, as well as paranormals.

Matt - "The books have to speak for themselves." This is oh so true!

    Purplg8r - That's great! :)

Alice - Thanks! I enjoy reading those authors' blogs you mentioned... they're my favourite authors! :D

  17. Julia Says:

I think you and I have same idea, Melody!

Hey thanks to the link for Nalini Singh. I kept forgetting add her on my blog :)

  18. Melody Says:

Julia - Glad we share the same views. :)

  19. The Bookworm Says:

  20. Melody Says:

Naida - I hope you'll read Lora Leigh's book soon. Her romance suspense is hot. ;)

  21. Iliana Says:

Wow, that's cool Melody. There are so many authors I love and I know quite a few of them have blogs but I don't follow them, well except for Karen Olson's blog. I think it's just that I feel like I have a more personal connection with other book bloggers so I'd prefer to spend my time with them.

  22. Melody Says:

Iliana - Karen Olson's blog is one of the coolest! And like you, I don't follow them regularly, although I do try to make some time to read their blogs. :)
