I'm trying to figure it out...is the top of the church half gone? I've been to Berlin, and most of what I saw was very big and masculine (don't know architechural types!). This church is beautiful!
Debi - I think it's just the angle, Debi! My husband was the one who took this pic when he was on an overseas training few years back. Seeing these pics really makes me want to visit Europe soon!!
Jessica - Yeah, I think it's interesting to see old and new buildings next to each other. A great comparison between the past and the present! ;)
Sandy - I can see Marny has answered to your question. :) (Thanks, Marny! I'm curious myself too!) I love old architectural buildings!
Marny - Thanks! Only the hubs has been, I haven't! I really want to visit Germany if given a chance! :)
Vickie - I'll forward you the link in a moment. :)
Nymeth - I'm actually looking for Paper Towns but couldn't find it and I want to read a John Green book badly! :D
Krishna - I'm sure you wouldn't miss it the next time you visit! ;)
Alice - Thank YOU! :D
Trish - No, I haven't been to Germany. One of my dreams is to visit the U.S. & Europe, followed by Japan! I hope my dream will come true one day soon! ;P
My husband is obsessed with the idea of going to Japan, especially after visiting Hawaii and seeing so much Japanese influence (and Japanses tourists). I traveled to Germany about 10 years ago and I'd love to go back. So beautiful!
Trish - We actually planned to visit Japan during our last vacation but there was no tour packages at that time except Hokkaido but since it was winter period (we heard it's extremely cold in Hokkaido during winter!!) so we changed our plans to Perth instead.
Wow...cool photo! Is that tower really leaning, or is it just the angle of the shot?
It's so funny to see something so historic and old standing next to brand new buildings.
Nice shot!

Nice picture :-) Have you been to Germany? And I really like the new look of your blog!
@Sandy Not only the top of the church, it was badly damaged in WW II. I have to see if I can find pics from the inside.
Love the look of your blog! How did you do this? Serious blog envy!
Once again, a lovely picture!

I love this church but I never went inside - I still regret that!
I love going around the world with you, Melody! Great photo!
I'm curious about all the pictures from Germany. I know your husband took one of the cathedral in Cologne--have you been there?
Krishna - I'm sure you wouldn't miss it the next time you visit! ;)

Beautiful pic but I adore your new look!
That is an amazing photo Melody.
Dot, Jen and Dar - Thank you, ladies! :)
Wow! That's a super photo the old and new. I'll have to ask my husband to have a look -- he served in Berlin during the Vietnam era.
For some reason your blog didn't update in my blogroll yesterday. Hummm.
I love the picture! You have posted some interesting and beautiful pictures, Melody! Keep up the work :)
Beth - Those feeds can be so wonky at times! I hope it's working fine now.
Julia - Thanks for your encouragement! :)
You know I am almost positive I have been there when I was last in Berlin... Great photo.
Thanks, Rhinoa!
