TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
- Grab your current read.
- Let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page.
- You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
- Please avoid spoilers!
I knew that bridge was a card game, but that was about it. It seemed dull and old-fashioned. Maybe, at one time, bridge might have been some people's idea of fun, but that was before computers and video games.
(Pg 17, The Cardturner by Louis Sachar)
Ooh, I bet that's a good one! I love the cover.
Is this is a guide to playing card game or actual story behind a character talking about life in playing card game?
Kathy - I'm enjoying the book so far. And yes, the cover is awesome, isn't it?
Julia - It's a story, but then the author also did describe the game in details in some parts, which I appreciate since I know nothing about the game.
Your teaser fits nicely with the book title. Here's mine:

That teaser pretty much sums up by feelings about bridge.
