yeah I often think about it...how was my life before internet? before I could find almost every answer to my problems on the web? Life must have been very dull...The world seemed bigger and lots of things unachievable. I did watch a lot more tv, and maybe buy more magazines and newspapers. I had to ring the cinema to know what time the films were, and I had to wait for weeks sometimes to receive a letter...
Oh how I love the internet!

Indeed life is a little dull without the internet... and the thing I like best about internet is, it brings people around the world a lot more closer! :)

I remember well what it was like before the internet (which I first used in college computer labs!) Digging through card catalogs, looking stuff up in reference books, it was a whole lot more tedious that just plugging your question/topic into Google or Wikipedia. I also wasn't nearly as connected to other people; I keep in touch much easier with email and blogging than phonecalls and hand-written letters (sometimes I think that's a shame. I love hand-written letters!)

I don't know what I'd do without the Internet, Melody! It's just so so good. I got my first PC when I was 19 years old and at that time was mainly for chatting on ICQ. I later branch out to other more meaningful things, and the rest is history. Hehe...

wow, I can hardly remember a time before the Internet. Sad but true :P I've had internet access at home since I was 14, so in a way I grew up with it. But in my pre-teen years, I did watch more TV. And like Valentina said, I'd buy more magazines...I'd buy music magazines to find out what my favourite bands were up to. I'd read movie reviews on magazines and newspapers. Now I do all those things online.

I'd so weird to think that some 15 years ago information wasn't nearly as accessible as it is now. I'm sure that this has changed us in more ways than we realize.

Jeane - I remember the time whereby the librarians had to go through rows and rows of our borrowing cards whenever we were borrowing/returning books. It's no wonder our pace is getting faster now because everything is working so much faster and has made it simpler through technology. Though I love emails, still it's nice to receive snail mails once in a while. ;)

Alice - I wouldn't know what to do without internet too. We're so used to it now. Oh yes, I too was addicted to ICQ then, those wonderful memories...hehe.

Nymeth - Oh yes! I've forgotten about the magazines. I bought a lot of magazines too, because they were a lot more cheaper than books IMO. ;P I used to borrow books from the libraries then... but I hardly visit them nowadays. Being online has definitely helps us in a lot of ways than we can imagine, isn't it?

I didn't really start using a computer regularly until my college years when I used the school library's computers for assignments. I didn't actually have my own until about a month before I graduated from school altogether. I've grown quite dependent on it. Haha

That's the same with me, Wendy. I used the school library's computers for assignments, until I took up the part-time course because I hate to travel to the institution whenever there's a need to, not to mention it'd take up the most of the day with the arts projects so it wasn't fair to other students too. These days, I just can't live without it, haha...

Now I can't think of life without internet. Previously I watched tv and red LOT more!

I really do not remember when I first got into internet. It probably was between the age of 21-23....but I do recall once I learn about the internet world, I keep wanting to come back to it lol

What a great question! I can barely remember before we had a computer. But back before the internet was big, I used it mostly for computer games.

I got an email address about 11 years ago, and gradually my life has grown more and more dependent on the internet... directions, staying in touch, blogging, google... life would be different without it!

Kim - I don't play computer games so that doesn't affect me much, hehe... but I know I'm addicted to ICQ then, and several years down the road blogs took over its place and the rest is history! ;P
