I rarely go to have manicure or pedicure either. But I at one time had my nail done. The nails was too soft that it hurt when it bend...I promise myself never to do that again. So I do them myself instead -- not putting fake nails but just keep the nails short...

I tend to keep my nails short too. I trimmed them just today because they were getting a little too long for comfort.
Wendy - I used to keep my nails long and painted them with colours before I have a child. Now I've to trim them short to prevent them from scratching onto my daughter accidentally! ;)
